KANSIEC Urges Political Parties to Prepare for 2021 elections

The chairman Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC) Professor Garba Ibrahim Sheka has pledged to carry all political parties along during the forthcoming 2021 local government elections.

The commission’s chairman pointed out that all necessary arrangements for the conduct of 2021 local government’s elections have been made, adding that the commission is making efforts to ensure a hitch-free and fair election.

 

According to Professor Garba, the negative experience  Kano State Independent electoral commission (KANSIEC) had for the delay of arrival of working materials during the last 2018 election has been resolved.

He, therefore, solicited for their support and cooperation in order to achieve the set objectives of conducting free and fair elections.

 

Speaking earlier the state chairman of  Inter-party  Advisory Council ( IPAC),Isa Nuhu Isa said the purpose of their visit is to formally introduce themselves to the commission(KANSIEC) as caretaker executives as well as to solicit for the commission’s support and cooperation in their activities.

 

In a statement by Public Relations Officer of KANSIEC Dahiru Lawan Kofar Wambai Said the chairman also assured of their continuous support to the commission in an effort to achieve the desired goal.
