<p>According to a press release issued to newsmen by Deputy Head of Information and Public Relations Unit of the University, Malam Abdullahi Datti Abdullahi said the promotion of the professors followed approval granted by the University Governing Council at its 50th meeting during the week.</p>

<p>The assessment report indicated that six were assessed as Professors, while 11 were moved to the ranks of Associate Professors.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Shehu Alhaji Musa has congratulated the newly promoted staff and urged them to strive towards uplifting the University through researches and academic excellence.</p>
