A Traditional ruler and Yariman Kano Alhaji Lamido Abubakar Bayero have called on youths to take sports as a business that will help them to be self-reliant and enhance their wellbeing as we are seeing in European countries.
Alhaji Lamido Abubakar Bayero made the call when he paid a congratulatory visit to the newly appointed Senior Special Assistant to the Kano State Governor on sports development Alhaji Ibrahim Mu’azzam Madaki in his office.

While congratulating the new SSA, Yariman Kano thanked Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for appointing a well-experienced sports lover and administrator Alhaji Ibrahim Mu’azzam Madaki as his sports aide, describing him as a person who sacrificed a lot in training, retraining and mentoring youths on how to be self-reliant regarding sporting activities.
He urged the new SSA to use his wealth of experience in coming up with new ideas that would uplift the state to a greater level.
In his remark, Senior Special Assistant to the Kano State Governor on Sports development Alhaji Ibrahim Mu’azzam Madaki said traditional rulers have a special role to play in changing the mindset of parents who are not allowing their children to participate in sports activities and enlighten them to know that sports are a world business.
He noted that as a new strategy, Kano State government would always work in synergy with traditional title holders so as to achieve the desired goals in upgrading Kano to African Sports megacity.
The newly appointed Senior Special Assistant to the Kano State Governor on Sports Alhaji Ibrahim Mu’azzam Madaki is an experienced football administrator who has been in the sports sector for over twenty-five years.
