Over one thousand pensioners from five local governments of Kano state are yet to receive their pension for the month if June due to the economic hardship as a result of Corona Pandemic
The Executive Chairman of Kano State Pension Board Trustees, Alhaji Sani Dawaki Gabasawa stated this in a statement by the boards’ public relations officer Umar Abdu Kurmawa.

He said the state government is aware of non-payment of 87 million Naira to one thousand eight hundred and forty pensioners from the affected local governments Which are Bichi, Tudun Wada, Warawa, Wudil, and Ungogo.

Sani Dawaki Gabasawa affirmed that the state government is committed to settling the problem while calling on them to exercise patience.
