Kano state government has urged state indigenous coaches serving in various national teams to partner with the state aimed at moving sporting activities to greater heights.
The Senior Special Assistant to Kano state governor on sports development, Alhaji Mu’azzam Ibrahim Marafan Wamban Kano state this at a meeting organized on the way forward for Sporting activities.

Mu’azzam said the meeting was to discuss thoroughly how the state government as well as teeming young footballers would benefit from their vast experience in order to sustain the impressive performance of the state at national and international engagements.
He said Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje will definitely appreciate their contributions and support towards achieving the desired objectives.

The SSA said that he will continue to operate an open-door policy especially the Kano indigenes who have excelled at various sporting activities in other states to contribute their quota for the overall development of sport in Kano.
He maintained that the state is blessed with talented players who need encouragement and support to excel at national and international tournaments.

He commended Governor Ganduje for his support morally and financially towards moving the sector to greater heights.
Mu’azzam however, appealed to sports stakeholders to rally round the present administration in its efforts to develop various sporting activities in the Kano and Nigeria in general.
Responding, the former Super Eagles and Enugu Rangers coach, Salisu Yusuf D Black, Abdu Maikaba of Plateau United of Jos, Usman Abdullah of Wikki Tourists of Bauchi and Ibrahim Musa of Kano Pillars have described the meeting as timely, assuring to continue to contribute their quota for the upliftment of the state on sporting activities whenever the need arises.
