On the third of July 2020 the Late Danmasanin Kano and the first republic minister of mines and power clock three years since his death.
Late Danmasanin Kano who died on the 3rd of July 2017 received encomiums from different parts of Nigeria as prominent politicians came to Kano to condole his family, government, and people of Kano state over the demise of the late orator.
Nigerian Tracker traced eulogies by some prominent Nigerians when they come to condole the people of Kano over the death of Late Danmasani.
One of such prominent personalities was former Head Of State General Abdulsalami Abubakar.
While condoling Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje before important dignitaries and Journalists in which Nigerian Tracker was Present, General Abdulsalami Abubakar said some surprising words on Late Danmasanin Kano.
“When I was Brigade commandant in Kano around the period of 1983 to 1985 then a colonel in the Nigerian Army, when I was in the office, some soldiers came in and said I have an important guest and I was wondering which Guest was that, when I peeped out, I saw late Danmasanin Kano Alhaji Yusuf Maitama Sule carrying a box,” said General Abdulsalami Abubakar.
As I went out late Danmsanin told me that you are not doing justice to me, you are arresting my cohorts and friend politicians, so you are not just, therefore, I am now offering my self for arrest “
General Abdulasalami Abubakar later narrated that other issues will come up in a book he is writing.
Your Excellency that was what transpired between me and Danmasanin Kano, Late Alhaji Yusuf Maitama Sule may his soul rest in peace.
On another eulogy by Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the then Acting President of Nigeria told the 14th Emir of Kano Malam Muhammadu Sunsui II that late Danmsanin Kano was one of the best orators Nigeria had.
“Your royal highness I am privileged to Know the late Danmasanin Kano when I was sixteen years old when he use to come to our school during debating competitions”. Said the Vice President
