Kano electricity Distribution Company has refuted claim made by Kano state water board that the company is not distributing electricity to the tate water board.
The Head corporate communications of the company Alhaji Ibrahim Sani Shawai made the statement during Freedom Radio good morning programme Barka Da Hantsi monitored by Nigerian Tracker in Kano.
Ibrahim Sani Shawai insisted that KEDCO is transmitting required electricity to Kano state water board but the problem may have arisen from the state water board.
He said the company is currently repairing electric poles destroyed by wind penultimate week in Kano.
Recently the Kano state water board has accused Kano Electricity Distribution Company of its inability to supply it with the needed electricity to boost water supply in Kano.
The state water board through its managing director Engineer Ahmad Garba Kofar Wambai said unavailability of pump drinking water in Kano was due to the failure of the Kano electricity distribution company to provide the board with sufficient electricity.
