As part of their efforts to bring Spanish league followers closer to their clubs, organizers of Spanish League, Laliga have vowed to come up with more events to appreciate their millions of fans in Kano.
In a letter dated 22nd December 2020 and signed by Laliga’s Director for Marketing and International Development, Oscar Mayo Pardo to Kano State Football Association, the Spanish organizing league body reaffirmed its commitments in creating new events for the millions of Laliga fans in Kano.

Pardo further stressed Kano is the hub of the Laliga Fan base and followership in Nigeria as there is a need to organize more events to appreciate the teeming fans.
He added Kano and Nigeria by extension are important parts of Laliga’s development project in Africa.
It will be recalled that Laliga had a mini fans event in Kano on the 13th of September, 2020 where fans gathered to watch Huesca vs Villarreal match to usher in the 2020/2021 Laliga campaign.
The match involved two Nigerians, Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze for SD Huesca and Villarreal CF respectively.
In August 2019 , Laliga signed a partnership agreement with Arewa Radio in Kano to further promote the league.
